It is our belief that everyone deserves a midwife, but not everyone wants or can have a homebirth. In an effort to meet our community where they are in the postpartum time. I offer supplemental care alongside people’s other OBs or midwives to provide in-home midwifery care. In the visits after the family comes home I offer slow and heartfelt appointments that include baths, healing touch, counseling, baby feeding support, herbal recommendations, as well as coordinating with the family’s care providers to track physical wellness of the parent and baby as needed. I see families in their home when they get home or around day 2, 1-week, 2- weeks, 4-weeks and 6- weeks.
